the breakfast included fresh fruit and local pastries. the room had a large window with a great city view. i found the location convenient with many restaurants nearby. (i liked the pastel de nata!).
i noticed some body hair on the bedsheets, which wasn't ideal for a hotel of this standard. this detracted from the otherwise positive experience.

the location was excellent, a short walk from sao bento station. the staff were friendly, always willing to assist with directions. the room was quiet, i slept soundly each night. i found good lighting near the bed for reading.

The air conditioning worked very well. This was helpful given the summer heat.
The breakfast options were unappealing, and the hot food was cold. The cold food was hot? it was slow to be replenished as well. the poorly insulated windows allowed street noise to be heard loudly in my room. the price was not worth it.
